In May 2009, Anas and Sandre of The Oriental Rug Gallery Ltd were invited by The Rotary Club of Haslemere to give a talk on hand-woven Oriental Rugs at their The Georgian House Hotel headquarters.

In April 2009, The Oriental Rug Gallery Ltd was crowned ‘Winner of the Most Innovative Marketing Award’ by the Haslemere & District Chamber of Trade & Commerce. Viewed as a benchmark in excellence, this award recognised proprietors and business owners Anas and Sandre’s passion, high standards of quality and professional rug skills and expertise, through their continued achievements at The Oriental Rug Gallery Ltd.

A procession that included: The Royal Society of St George Haslemere, the Royal Society's Council Member: Albert Hankers, Haslemere Town Crier: Terry Burns and Haslemere Chamber President: Melissa King, were also accompanied by Councillor Melanie Odell as the Maiden, Councillor Brian Howard, former Haslemere Chamber President and current Roundtable President: Simon Labrow dressed as the Dragon, with a thronging crowd of St George's Day supporters, who visited Anas and Sandre at The Oriental Rug Gallery Ltd during their town walkabout, to mark St George's Day 23rd April 2009 in style.

Following on from The Oriental Rug Gallery Ltd’s official opening, Jeremy Hunt MP revisited Anas and Sandre at the Rug Gallery, as a measure of his continued support for their newly established business in Wey Hill.

In September 2008, Anas and Sandre of The Oriental Rug Gallery Ltd were invited by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) to participate in a ‘Keep Trade Local Campaign’ photograph exhibition launched in Haslemere, to highlight the diversity of independent, thriving businesses on Britain‘s high streets today.

In February 2008, The Oriental Rug Gallery Ltd was awarded the prestigious 'Corporate Membership' insignia of the renowned Guild of Master Craftsmen, for their Master Rug Craftsman expertise, knowledge and skills in rug cleaning, stain corrective treatments, repairs, restoration and cut-to-size alterations services, undertaken in the Gallery’s Restoration and Cleaning Studios.

The Mayor & Mayoress of Waverley Cllr. Maurice and Mary Byham, the Mayor of Haslemere Cllr. Stephen Mulliner and Lady Sheldon were joined by other Surrey and Haslemere-wide VIP guests including Haslemere’s Deputy Mayor and Mayoress, local councillors, dignatories and representatives of Haslemere Societies and Associations, as well as local businesses and upstanding members of the Haslemere community and surrounding districts, to celebrate the Opening Preview and Launch of the newly established: The Oriental Rug Gallery Ltd.

The Oriental Rug Galllery Ltd’s iconic black and red logo is central to Anas and Sandre’s rug and carpet business and adorns their Gallery shop exterior, as well as their company’s stationary and website.
